The open Pacific Ocean to the west offers Pelagic birding, a huge eel-grass mudflat to the east is a stopover for thousands of shorebirds in spring migration. Tofino is situated on the Pacific Flyway and in the spring tens of thousands of geese and ducks pass through. Nearby Pacific Rim National Parks long beach area is 20km stretch of sandy beach and is visited by over fifty species of shorebirds.

Take advantage of the great diversity and numbers of shorebirds on Long Beach, Pac Rim Park. From huge intertidal mudflats to long sand beaches to surf pounded rocky islands, you’ll see lots of good shorebirds on this trip.
Seabird voyage
A two hour trip to Cleland Island ecological reserve located in the outer waters of Clayoquot Sound. Your guide will take you to the best spots for seabirds, you may see the Spectacular Tufted Puffin, Marbled Murrelets and too much more to list.

A full day of birdwatching offshore, you never know what you will see next while birding as far west as possible in Canada on the open Pacific Ocean.
Mountain Birding
