Return Airfare from either Vancouver Airport via Sonic Air, VIP charter plane leaves from executive private airport in Vancouver or

Experience Eagle Nook Resort, nestled among magnificent mountains and dramatic Pacific coastal islands on the west coast of Vancouver Island. This sheltered four-star hideaway provides a scenic, cosy and luxurious base from which to explore the outdoors or indulge yourself indoors.
Coming from Ucluelet takes you past awe-inspiring vistas of forests, sea and rock-cropped islands - and virtually no habitation. Then you'll see Eagle Nook, strategically placed at the head of Vernon Bay. You'll cruise silently past the Vernon Bay side of the resort through the narrow inlet into Jane Bay. Flowers along the walk from the docks to the Lodge provide a colorful welcome to this four star Eden.
Salmon
Almost any time of year is a good time to catch salmon in Barkley Sound. May and June are excellent months for young coho and for chinook that can weigh up to 25 pounds. Late June and July brings in the annual sockeye run. July, August and September are the best months for the larger Kings who can range from 20 to 50 pounds each. In September, the northern silvers arrive.
Other Varieties
Halibut that can reach 100 pounds or more can be caught year round, but are best in the spring and early summer. Bottomfish like rock fish are readily available. For a good battle, feisty ling cod can be caught year round.
Boats & Supplies
At the resort you'll be going out in a 20-26 foot covered boat that's fully equipped with downriggers, tackle, bait, electronic fish finder, supplies and of course, a delicious Eagle Nook box lunch. Boots and jackets are available if needed at the Lodge.
Preparing Your Fish
Back at the resort, your guide will prepare and package your fish for shipping or taking with you. Or you can request that our Chef specially prepare your "catch of the day" for your dining pleasure.
